Title
Persistent homology and representation theory
Abstract
Persistent homology is one of the main methods in topological data analysis, and can analyze the shape of data at multiple scales. It has been applied in many fields, for example in materials science. The theory of persistent homology is supported by representation theory of algebra. In my talk, we will talk about the category of persistence modules, which is important for multiparameter persistence and exploring issues of stability with respect noise.

Title
Applications and software of persistent homology
Abstract
Persistent homology enables us to quantify the shape of data using topology. In this presentation, I will introduce applications of persistent homology to materials science. I will also introduce data analysis software based on persistent homology. Especially, our software, HomCloud, will be presented.
